Sonnet: I never know exactly..I never know exactly what to say When hate and blow bring tears to your soft eyes; My throat constricts, my heart knows not the way To send its easeful words to still your cries. I’m like a soldier with a blunted blade, I’m like a doctor lost to proper cure, I long to see, while trapped within this shade, That smile return upon your face so pure. But this is hope: that smile defies the scars. It calms my brow and fills my sense with joy. That smile I would not trade for all the stars, Or all the gems that Heaven may employ. So let this song,Sonnet: I never know exactly..

Bawk: A Tragicomedy.Bawk: A Tragicomedy
[Enter a CHICKEN from stage right, walking slowly along the city streets, its head hung low.]
CHICKEN: [Sadly]. Bawk bawk… [The CHICKEN stops at center stage, lifting his head and looking around, raising its wings slightly.]
[Pleadingly]. Bawk? Bawk bawk bawk?
[A WOMAN walks out from the left, past the CHICKEN.]
[Approaching the WOMAN]. Bawk bawk?
WOMAN: [Squawkingly]. Get away from me, you filthy

The MountainsThe mountains looked like a woman that evening, sleek, slender in the dying sun. There she lay where the mountain range once stood: her gentle head rested comfortably on a pillow; her hair tossed in curls wherever they fall; her small, soft breasts exposed, waiting for the touch of twilight; her round, plump stomach carrying the child of the earth, a child waiting to be released from those wave-like legs that stretch on down the road for miles. I almost thought I heard her speak then, when all was quiet. I don’t know what she said or if she said anything at all, but if she did, I’m sure it was for me.The Mountains

What Took You So Long?We drove along the 94, my father and I, driving 50 miles an hour even though the sign said we could go 60. We drove in silence, not saying a word to each other since we entered the car. It was the late afternoon but the sun shone as if to say no, it will be day, at least for a little while longer. The sky was almost entirely cloudless, except for one giant of a shape: rolls upon rolls of fluffy white making an almost wave-like image in the ocean of the heavens. My father saw this wave as soon as I did, but he decided to speak. You see that cloud there, he asked. I nodded, not feeling much for talking. Back in the islands you can see those kinWhat Took You So Long?

and life doesn't slow down for anybody
How's it going? I haven't seen or heard from you in quite awhile, so I figured I'd stop by and leave you a little note, asking what's up, and all that other fun stuff.
Anyways, I hope all is well, and that Yaanonspeare is still with us. Or maybe he's been distracted by all the neat stuff in Vegas?
